I've decided to go to Sweden to improve my english and because I've never been in the North of Europe. I chose Vaxjo becuase it was the only place availble.

I had the scholarship for the whole period and it was fo 600 euro each month. I've been there 5 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vaxjo?

The studentlife is for the 90% inside the Campus where are two places which can be pub or a disco based on the day of the week. In my opinion, the real parties are at home because these places close quite early. There are two grocery shops, hairdresser and a shop for the IT problems. The library is big and very nice and cozy; the student card allow to go in the university buildings after 5pm to study so you have everything you need. The center is 2km far and you can have a nice walk or take the bus.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vaxjo to other students?

Yes, it's not a big city so there are not that much things to do but for an erasmus is perfect because you can ejoy 100% the experience inside the campus and the university life.

I ate very rearely in restaurents, I preferred to eat at home with my friends because we where from many different countries and we were cooking oure main dishes to the others. At the grocery shop you can find every food anyway.

Yes, it's not cheap and it's very hard to find an accomodation inside the campus but it's definitely better! I've spent the first month in a a house in the center and then i moved in the campus and the life is completely changed, you can enjoy your time there because you can go everywhere by walk. Or at least, for me it was like this because all of my freinds were livinginside the campus.
