Cold Semester in Vaxjo

I did an Erasmus plan in Vaxjo in the first semester of 2018-2019 (the cold one). The city is very nice and it has a lot of nature. You have tons of walking paths to take in the forest of by one of the many lakes around the city. The centrum of the city itself is very small but cute.

Although, let be honest, if you are going to study in LNU and you are lucky enough to pick an apartment in the campus (apartments are hell difficult to get) you won't go that much to the centrum. In the campus you have everything to live a nomral life (3 supermarkets, 3 clubs, 1 pub, hairdressers, food restaurants...) so is very convinient.

If you want to party, thare are parties from Wednedsay to Sunday every week so you are covered with that. For the rest that doesn't go that much to parties, if you keep up to date in the facebook forums, there are tons of other activities (and even more the first month of the semenster becouse of VIS) like cinema forums, sports activities (every week) and so.

The wether, in winter is cold, not -20 but is cold, like -1 to -3 average everyday and usually cloudy or raining/snowing. The few days of summer that I had (late August) where amazing becouse it was sunny and hot enough to go with short pants and just a T-shirt but not too hot to be unbarable.

If you are going there, here is some quick helpfull info: search on Facebook->Vaxjo Campus, LNU Kop/Salj, stuff shearing - vaxjo campus. Go to the introduction week and go to all the VIS activities you can. Don't rush to buy a lot os staff because lot of people give it for free (specially beds and small staff). Also go to PG 10-16 often, people leave unwanted furniture there. Bus ticket last for 2 hours (you can take any number of buses in thouse 2 hours) and there is a bus card (it's cheaper). 

Buy staff in Netto or Willys (it's cheaper than ICA) (supermarkets)
