What is it like to live in Valladolid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Valladolid is a beautiful city with a lot of historical buildings, a lot of churches and museums. It's good for a quiet life style and walks, but by my opinion is not exactly for students and partying. There are a lot of bars to get drunk and meet new people but, the locals are not exactly the most open-minded people I've met by my experience.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valladolid?

It's fine but definitely not great.

How much does it cost to live in Valladolid?

If you rent a room it could be like 150 euros, it's better more people to rent whole apartment, the rents are not high. They can find 3 bedroom apartment for 400 or less.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valladolid? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not very easy, but of course depends on the luck of each person. Better to go through Inmoboliaria but of course be careful, because there a lot of them who get paid to find you something and show you the worst they got and waste your time, to pay them more money. Better go to the Print shops in the centre, and look the ads, all of them are from more students looking for roommates.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is good, everything is with garlic in it so get used to it :D I like paella, tortilla, potatoes with garlic and mayonese, its good to pick when you drink cañas.

What places would you recommend visiting in Valladolid?

All the bars in Plaza Universidad, Plaza Mayor, these are the places where the students go.

Is it good to eat out in Valladolid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Honestly I preferred to cook because I eat healthy and can`t recommend you anything.

Is the nightlife good in Valladolid? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of clubs(don`t say club in Spain because it means Strip club, call it discoteca) from Teatro Calderon, you go on straight there is a tiny street full of bars and kebaps, this is very famous area to go out clubbing. Valladolid is a place you meet almost the same people in almost the same places every time.

What advice would you give future students heading to Valladolid?

Choose Barcelona or Madrid, Valladolid will be ok for couple of days or month experience but that`s all.
