Adrian in Spain: My Valladolid Experience
What is it like to live in Valladolid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living as a student is great. Working here... not so much.
What is the student lifestyle like in Valladolid?
The university... well each to their own. You don't need to go to class but I'd recommend you do as the exams are pretty tough.
How much does it cost to live in Valladolid?
Rooms in shared accommodation go for about 150-200€ a month.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valladolid? Is there any advice you can give?
It's very much a student city. You can easily find a room in the space of one day.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is amazing. Anyone that comes here says the same. Big portions and even more variety.
Is the nightlife good in Valladolid? Where is good to go?
Loads! There's hardly a shortage here in Valladolid. For new students there is 'Juanita Calamidad', the official bar for Erasmus students every Wednesday.
What advice would you give future students heading to Valladolid?
Valladolid has loads of parties, even more things to do and is just a stone's throw away from Castilla y León, one of the most historic cities in Spain.
