What is it like to live in Utrecht? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I definitely recommend a stay or study in Utrecht. It's a great student city with a vital nightlife and many (inter)national students. The Dutch people are always helpful, easy-going, open, humorous, and are great at English (which makes things way easier when just arrived from another country). The city center is cozy, but big enough to have a great shopping tour or to find nice bars, restaurants or cafes.

What is the student lifestyle like in Utrecht?

Easy-going and down-to-earth.

How much does it cost to live in Utrecht?

It is becoming more and more expensive since the city is booming and growing fast. Living inside the city center will not be payable for students, only in shared houses.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Utrecht? Is there any advice you can give?

Very difficult! Better start searching early enough (3 months before the semester starts). The public transport is great, but pricy. So, if there are difficulties with finding something central, check outside the center for a housing.

Is it good to eat out in Utrecht? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Along the "Grachten"(the Dutch word for canals) you can eat in great atmosphere.

Is the nightlife good in Utrecht? Where is good to go?

Once arrived at the area called "Neude" there are enough bars an clubs from which you can choose.
