What is it like to live in Utrecht? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

big student city. Most students apply in the Universities of Utrecht at the Uithof Campus. There are most studies located. It's 15 minutes by bus from there to the inner city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Utrecht?

There are studentfriendly restaurants in Utrecht. Also a lot of nightlife and the clubs are often open throughout the whole week. It's student night out on Thursday and it is pretty busy then in the clubs. Also there is a club called Poema which is open on Tuesday evening. Here do most international students go.

How much does it cost to live in Utrecht?

Well it depends on your lifestyle. You should hunt for sales in the supermarkets. Most supermarkets have studentfriendly articles as well. Look for their cheaper brands, mostly private brands. I think you will need 8 euro's a day for food.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Utrecht? Is there any advice you can give?

It is relative difficult to find housing in Utrecht. You could look on Facebook or some websites like kamertje.nl or housinganywhere.com. Don't pay any money through moneybookers or something. Always pay in a way you can withdraw your payments. I think you would need a budget from 300 till 600 for a nice room.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

My favorit dish is the kebab roll or kebab with a slice of bread. It's not dutch but very nice! The real dutch dishes are soup made of green peas and potato stews.

What places would you recommend visiting in Utrecht?

the innercity, near the canals. It's really nice when the sun shines on a terace.

Is it good to eat out in Utrecht? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

El mundo - spanish tapas, all you can eat for 20 euro's

Is the nightlife good in Utrecht? Where is good to go?

Very good!
Havana, Filemon, Pakhuis, Poema and more of those places. a beer cost around 2-2,50 euro.
