Why did you choose to go to Utrecht, Netherlands?

I wanted to study in the Netherlands to learn Dutch and get to know the Dutch culture. Utrecht University was one of two I could choose between. Due to its good opinion and the fact how beautiful this city is I have chosen Utrecht as a place to spend my Erasmus.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

In my case it was 5 months. I was receiving 380 euro per month, which was of coruse not enough :)

What is the student lifestyle like in Utrecht?

There are really a lot of students and places to go out with friends. It is easy to combine studying, work and having fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Utrecht to other students?

It is just the city that will stay in your heart forever. You can feel there like at home and have the best time in your life. Not only University itself but also the city gives you the opportunity to develop yourself and have the best memories of your life.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Utrecht?

Unfortunately finding a room in Utrecht is not an easy task, especially when you search it in September.

How much does it cost to live in Utrecht?

550-600 Euro.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Quite easy if you have ever learned English and German. For sure worth learning :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Utrecht from your city?

Taking into account how many things you need to take with you I would recommend the train which was cheap and comfortable. One night and in the morning you are in Utrecht (from Warsaw).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Utrecht?

ACU ! On Voorstraat. Especially for people who like alternative sounds and like meeting new people.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Utrecht?

Cook yourself. The best way in Utrecht.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Utrecht in the future?

Think about the room as soon as possible. If you want to live in student house, sign in to SHH. If you want to learn Dutch search for a room but better if you start in August. Don't hesitate to chooe Utrecht. It's really a great place to study! The most beatiful city in the Netherlands!
