Generally, what is University King Juan Carlos like?

The University King Juan Carlos - Vicalvaro campus is very quiet, in a small town just outside the city of Madrid. The town is a bit isolated and the center of Madrid is 40 minutes by metro. 

What are the facilities like?

The facilities are not great. It is an old building, they have computers and projectors in all classes, but generally it is a nice place to sit and study. The cafeteria does not look very nice, but many students sit there and study.

What are the tutors like?

The tutors are very good people, especially with international students, since they are very interested in other cultures and want to know more. They are very helpful and available at all times in case you need anything, either about the lessons or in general.

Are the lessons easy in University King Juan Carlos?

In my department, I found that the lessons were quite easy. Since I was in my third year of studies, most of the things we learned were already familiar to me and that is why I found the lessons easy to understand. Also, since the exams were online, it was much easier to pass and do well.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The university does not organize many activities, but the ESN is very much involved and therefore international students have many opportunities to travel and meet people.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

I think that the quality of teaching is quite good and the fact that they offer lessons in English is a great option for many students. That is why it is the university with the most international students. Teachers are very good in teaching, even though their English is not always the best.
