Experience in University King Juan Carlos, Spain
Generally, what is University King Juan Carlos like?
A nice place with great potential, ruined by incompetent or unwilling personnel.
What are the facilities like?
We all know Spain has just overcome a deep economical crisis, so it is understandable that facilities might not be at their best. In general, it has a fresh design with plenty of resources, some of them obsolete or not operative, nevertheless.
What are the tutors like?
You can have some really interesting experiences with tutors who love their job and do it with pleasure.
Are the lessons easy in University King Juan Carlos?
Depends on the professor. There is no law regarding 'quality of teaching'. Some professors bring 400 slides, read them in class, and do an exam about a very specific table hidden in a very specific slide, with information only mentioned once. In engineering.
Does the University organize activities? If so, what are they like?
Mainly speeches of well known people.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
Again, depends on the professor.
In my experience, quality is about 10-15% great professors, 25% just doing well, 40% do-you-even-enjoy-your-job-? professors, 20-25% outrageous incompetent professors.
Are there any stories you can share?
All good stories are OUTSIDE of the University. Being a student by itself, not a student of URJC.
