Experience in Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain by Noémie

Generally, what is Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Cantoblanco like?

The faculty is quite far from the city center (about 30-40 min from sol with the train Renfe). There is only the train station around.

However it is easy to find your building and go around, find the cafeterias...

The building is quite new and the library is really big!

Are the lessons easy in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid [Cantoblanco]?

A class lasts 50 min and you can have a lecture class or a practica (exercises). The practicas are usually evaluated with marks and it is easy if you were at the lecture class and you understood the lesson!

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

For Erasmus people, you can easily find the ESN office in the faculty (derecho faculty) and they organise a lot of events! Moreover the UAM has the biggest rate of Erasmus students.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

The teaching is good and teachers are available for your questions after classes.

Are there any stories you can share?

I had a problem during my Erasmus as I chose classes from various grados (levels). Be careful because you might have several classes in the same time as the planning is changing along the semester.
