Lovely! A very student city. Lot of cultural activities and gigs.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Turku to other students?

I truly recomend the city and the University.

What is the food like?

In Lidl you'll find cheap food to cook at home. Then you can find some student restaurants with discounts but I prefered to cook my own food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Turku?

Nop, I found it in TYS, but I did it with lot of time (at least 3 months before).

How much does it cost to live in Turku?

I lived with 500€/month. 250€ for my room (without mattress and without frying pan, glasses and the cutlery) and internet, and 250€ for food, transport and others

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I love Finnish language, so for me was easy (the basic course), but lot of people speak English (you'll be surprised). Yes, there are courses available (very good and funny ones).

Stopover in other country like England or you can go straight to Tampere o to Helsinki first and then take a bus to Turku.

It depends. I would prefer people discover their own place to go out. It will be easy to find your favourite place in Turku.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Turku?

Vegetarian one in a river ship.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Many (the castle, church, Naantali: Moomin world, museums, festivals... ).

Vitamines (there is sun, but in winter it does not get you warm) and good shoes.
