What is it like to live in Trieste? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I could write here a book. Trieste is a fantastic mittle europe city it was the main Harbour of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and still today it keep a very particular atmosphere uncommon in other italian cities. The city's architecture is neoclassical and the city center is really stunning. The winter are usually cond and very windy, the summer is the period when the city most shine thanks to the sea which is 15 minute from the city center. I really like to live here

What is the student lifestyle like in Trieste?

There are around 20.000 students at the university of Trieste main locals and student life is around Viale XX september where you will also find disco and bars. there are more locals and place of interest all around the town. during the summer is really common to go to the sea at Barcola which is a long pedestrian area with the sea in front of it. Always full of people and very characteristic

How much does it cost to live in Trieste?

Depend from where you come from could cost much or less. I can tell you that from an italian point of view Trieste dont cost too much.
around 2-4 euro for a beer 8 for disco 10-30 for dinner depend on where you go

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Trieste? Is there any advice you can give?

Its not that difficoult there are a lot of people renting house for university students you can go to an agency or search for the post the students put on university' showcase

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can eat Italian food or also something international the Trieste traditional food could remind you mittle europe one like austrian.

What places would you recommend visiting in Trieste?

The city center, Barcola, Via napoleonica, and the carso.

Is it good to eat out in Trieste? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I go to the gym and there are some good gyms for university students its also very common to play football 5vs5 or 7vs7

Is the nightlife good in Trieste? Where is good to go?

Its good I guess but not the best thing of the city during the week the nightlife is at Viale XX september with his bars disco and locals. during the weekend it move to the city center around the main square

Be ready to have a good times
