Don't be afraid to send a message...

So, I was in Trieste with Erasmus+ doing an internship. Every day I was going to work with the bus. You see a lot of people on the bus and I usually imagine how their lives are, where they are going etc.

One day I saw a guy with these amazing eyes. Probably I was staring at him like an idiot, completely falling in love with his eyes. Then he looked at me and for a moment I froze till I realized that I was looking like a fool and turned my head to another direction. Of course every day I was searching if he was on the bus and sometimes he was. We were looking at each other but we never spoke, I didn't know his name or where he was working. And then, I saw that he added me on Facebook. I had no idea how he found me but I was super excited!!! So happy that I run to my best friend's house to tell her the news (~2 km in less than 10 min).

The funny thing is that I wanted to send a message but I didn't...I waited for his message because I really liked him and I was afraid of his rejection...Anyway, I waited but he didn't send anything. I was disappointed and I never had the courage to send a message. So I said that the next time that I will see him on the bus, I will go and talk to him. But I 've never had the chance...

2 weeks before I leave, I saw him again, but still I didn't say anything! In the evening, though, I wrote him a message to go out (finally!) and we did! It was one of the best nights that I spent here. He is so funny, interesting, an amazing person with imagination and creativity! It 's really rare to find such a person with whom you feel so comfortable without even knowing. We had so much fun, making jokes and playing a game.

It's very hard to say goodbye to people you met during your Erasmus experience. With this guy my feelings are so mixed...I had such a nice time (and of course I am super happy) but it was so nice that in the end it is very sad that we didn't meet before and that we didn't have also other times like this one... I am so angry with myself that I didn't write a message before because now things would be different...

So, make new friends and don't be afraid to make the first move. For sure, some people don't worth it... But there are people that are worthy of your attention and it's a petty not to know them...
