My Experience in Toulouse, France, by Charlotte (Not Erasmus)
What's student life like in Toulouse
There are so many students in the city so it's constantly bustling.
What is the cost of living like in Toulouse?
Depends on where you go, I'd say about 300-500 euros to rent a place.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Toulouse? Do you have any advice to give?
Not too difficult, there are facebook sites, agencies etc.
What's the food like there? What are your favourite dishes?
Loads of small restaurants for students, not too expensive but they're still very good. There's the Lebanese restaurant near the Daurade, the place that sells bagels on Rue du Taur, 'L'Oasis' on Rue Pargaminières, 'Sherpa' on Rue du Taur, 'Duckme' near the Capitol...
What places do you recommend seeing in Toulouse?
The banks along the river, Couvent des Jacobins, the Basilica St Sernin, Jardin des Plantes, Les Abbatoirs.
And where's the best place to eat in Toulouse? Can you let us in on your favourite places?
Anywhere along the banks, or by the capitol.
Where do you recommend going out in Toulouse?
St Pierre and its numerous bars, by Jean Jaurès there are some great nightclubs. The game bars are really nice too.
