Experience in Toulouse, France by keith

What is it like to live in Toulouse? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I went to Toulouse to visit a friend and sted with his family it was a wonderful experience to get so close to the culture and see everything from a resident point of view I'm try to move there in February to extend our relationship it would be good to get a job there only thing is I've no French only real basic hah but I'm going to go to a class there and being with a family I think I'll pick up the French language quick but the city is fabulous and the people are so nice trying to speak English when I went to the shops by myself :)

How much does it cost to live in Toulouse?

I found it a bit expensive when eating out but to eat in its like Ireland prices

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Toulouse? Is there any advice you can give?

Sted with friend but having looked on internet for myself to find a apartment it looks easy enough

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I went to a few places but I went to a pasta food outlet in the city and it was so nice... Having went to McDonald's they advertise that it's Irish beef they use hehe

What places would you recommend visiting in Toulouse?

I went to a Irish bar in the city it's really nice and friendly also went to a place down beside the canal it's beautiful to just sit there where the French young have a few beers its good to mix

Is it good to eat out in Toulouse? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Bit expensive

Is the nightlife good in Toulouse? Where is good to go?

Yes I was there for st Patrick's day to van Irish bar just in the city of Toulouse all the French really get the spirit of it was real homily not like other cultures that don't dress up etc..

What advice would you give future students heading to Toulouse?
