What is it like to live in Toulouse? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a very nice city. It is big so there is a lot of things to do and as the transport system is very nicely done you can easily travel around the whole city (frequent buses, subways, etc).

What is the student lifestyle like in Toulouse?

There are cheap prices for students in transport, food, cinema, etc. And there are many students everywhere you go.

Also the night life is very nice because there are many young people going out in the bars and downtown.

How much does it cost to live in Toulouse?

The center is probably expensive but living outside downtown isn't very expensive and you can be in the center within 10/15/20 mins with the subway.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Toulouse? Is there any advice you can give?

There are rooms for students at the university but I heard they are very small ( 10 m² ).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is a rich southern-France culture with a lot of good dishes. A typical dish from Toulouse is the " Cassoulet " or the " Saucisse de Toulouse ". If you eat them in a restaurant it's really awesome.

What places would you recommend visiting in Toulouse?

There are very nice cities nearby Toulouse and they have wonderful landscapes, history and architecture (Carcasonne, Albi, Castres).

Is it good to eat out in Toulouse? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Some restaurants are very nice because of the rich southern-France culture.

My favourite place is a restaurant called " La Braisière " in downtown Toulouse (Metro: Les Carmes), I ate there with my girlfriend and it was cheap (15 euros) and it was one of the best meals I have ever had.

Is the nightlife good in Toulouse? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of bars downtown and there is a place with all the bars and the youth at night called Saint Pierre, also there is La Croix Daurade.

What advice would you give future students heading to Toulouse?

It will be very fun, the city is awesome and as there are a lot of people you will surely find someone like you.
