Why did you choose to go to Toulouse, France?

Many things motivated me to study in Toulouse: the student atmosphere, the language, good universities and its location close to the sea and the mountains.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was for 9 months, about 400€ per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Toulouse?

If you like student lifestyle, Toulouse is great. You can easily form a group and have some beers any day after the dinner.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Toulouse to other students?

Absolutely

What is the food like?

Mediterranean food. My French flatmates were excellent cooks, they made especially vegetable-based dishes such as quiches.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Toulouse?

At first I went to a student residence called Rangueil, which was booked by the University. The room was very small but it was very cheap and you could meet other students. Then, I went to a flat, here it took some time to find a flat and it was quite expensive.

How much does it cost to live in Toulouse?

Student residence/Shared flat: 150€/360€
Food, including cheap lunch in the university: 250€
Other expenses: 100-200€

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It depends on your initial level and mother tongue. For me, as a Spanish speaker with some initial level, it wasn't difficult.
When I was there, there were free language courses both in the university and in another center.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Toulouse from your city?

From Pamplona, by train or by car.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Toulouse?

To drink in the Garonee bank, to the pubs in the center or to the night clubs in the center or Ramier

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Toulouse?

L'entrecôte, Bistro de la Daurade

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Musuem, city of the space
