Why did you choose to go to Tartu, Estonia?

Tartu University has good reputation and it was offering the subject of my interest.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I only got a tuition waiver scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tartu?

Students work hard during daytime and party hard during night time.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Tartu to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

Food is good and healthy. There are many pubs, bars and restaurants that serve both local and international dishes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tartu?

Yes, it took some time. I found one for 150 EUR per month.

How much does it cost to live in Tartu?

Approx 300 EUR per month including fooding, lodging, everything.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are language courses available here but the language itself is not easy to learn.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Tartu from your city?

Kolkata-New Delhi (many flights daily)

New Delhi-Helsinki (Finn Air)

Helsinki-Tartu (Finn Air (Flybe))

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Tartu?

University campus - old observatory, museums, Angel's Bridge, Devil's bridge, Churches.
