What is it like to live in Szeged? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Szeged is full of sunshine and university students :) There are great parties every week and the prices are low (ok, it's Hungary, but it's cheaper than Budapest or the western part of the country).

What is the student lifestyle like in Szeged?

There are reasonable things to study, not boring and too complicated, but it's still one of the best universities in Hungary + a lot of good parties.

How much does it cost to live in Szeged?

Fairly cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Szeged? Is there any advice you can give?

Not difficult, everyone knows there are a lot of students in the city, so there are a lot of cheap rooms and dorms as well. You can find dorms through the university website, that's the cheapest option, about 33-40 euros (advantage: you can find friends easier).

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is also cheap, restaurants are prepared for a lot of students. There are traditional Hungarian dishes and fast food restaurants where you can eat. An average meal costs about 3-5 euros. If you make your own food at home it can be 2-3 euros/person/a lunch.

My favourite spots: Boci Tejivó and Tünder Konyha.

What places would you recommend visiting in Szeged?

I suggest you to visit this website.

Is the nightlife good in Szeged? Where is good to go?

Very good and safe! : href=" http://www.jateklub.hu/" rel="nofollow"Jaketlub and Szoteklub.

What advice would you give future students heading to Szeged?

Be careful when you choose where to live because Hungarians know there are a lot of foreign students and sometimes they want to lease an apartment/room for a very very high price. If you find a flat that is not cheaper than 160 euros, think twice! Otherwise enjoy your funny life in this city full of sunshine and joy! :)
