What is the student lifestyle like in Szeged?

This city is perfect for students because there are a lot of students from different nationalities and different cultures and it's really interesting.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Szeged to other students?

I loved the city but the rules of the university is very complicated and stressing, you need to have a lot of patience to survive.

What is the food like?

There are different choices of food but not all of them seems to be clean, so you have to be careful. The Indian restaurant has a very delicious food and tye arabic restaurant at the center.

A typical food here is goulash.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Szeged?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Szeged?

Newly furnished apartments cost between 300-500 euro per month, it depends on how good is your real estate agent. The old apartments may cost less.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is a bit difficult but it will become easy if you practice it daily with local people, and its compulsory to study the language at the university. Although im against that.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Szeged from your city?

Airplane is the only way but if you live in Europe you can use tranis but you will have to change the trains more than one time.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Szeged?

House parties is much better than the night clubs in this city.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Szeged?

Taj Mahal, Troja and John Bull.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The city center.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Szeged in the future?

Focus in your study but live your life and don't stress yourself, Szeged will be your home after you get used to live in it, and local people are very friendly.
