How much does it cost to live in Szeged?

If you want to travel in the country also it's about 6-800 euros but to live exactly in the city you can live easily with 500 euros or less.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Szeged? Is there any advice you can give?

First always try the dormitories of your university, it is not that hard to enroll, but also you can find rent-a-flats for 100 euros. You have to know the life is always bigger in the dorms and you can make hungarian friends easier.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can find only good food and cuisine in Hungary. My personal favs are Palacsinta (pancake), Paradicsomszósz húsgombóccal (tomato sauce with meatballs), Birka-marha pörkölt (mutton or beef goulash)...and so on..you have to try it.

What places would you recommend visiting in Szeged?

Dóm square, Animal park, Palace of public culture, Museum of Anatomic Institute..

What advice would you give future students heading to Szeged?

Study hard, make friends and keep them also when you went home, and see everything from Hungary to travel home with good memories and a valuable degree from our universities. :) If you study there, you definitely won't regret it!
