What is it like to live in Szeged? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Its a small town with a river flowing separating new and old Szeged town. People here are friendly and energetic. You can meet lots of International students. There are several clubs and nice pubs to enjoy.

What is the student lifestyle like in Szeged?

As a student you can enjoy the world class education in University of Szeged. There are several student clubs which can help you to do initial formalities in University. University also has a big library which is open for students from morning to till late night to study.

How much does it cost to live in Szeged?

It varies person to person but in general nearly 450-600 euros are okay for single person to live in the city.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Szeged? Is there any advice you can give?

No its not so difficult. there are some facebook groups where you can get many advertisement for the rooms. One can also contact International students through social media and can get more help regarding stay.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are several restaurants including Indian, Arabian, Korean and others. Hungarian foods are also good to taste.

What places would you recommend visiting in Szeged?

Some good clubs- Jate, Hungi, Sing and Sing
Library- TIK
River- Tisza
Cinema, Arkad, University building. some other countryside places.

Yes, its good to eat in Szeged. You can find several places in city center near to the main University building. Worth to taste Hungarian foods.

What advice would you give future students heading to Szeged?
