my scholarship is for four years. As Phd student, i receive HUF 140,000
What is the student lifestyle like in Szeged?
its full of fun. there are a lot of restaurants and pubs to enjoy the social life. the international office organizes many gatherings for international students. There are also opportunities of part time work for students.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Szeged to other students?
I definitely recommend University of Szeged and the city for foreign students. the environment is really friendly, the weather is good. the living cost is very low comparing to the other cities in Hungary
What is the food like?
the foods are less spicy for me, since I am from Asia. Otherwise, the foods are good with many alternatives from the restaurants
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Szeged?
Finding an accommodation is not that much difficult as the student office organizes 'flat rent' hunt and they also recommend the new students to the flatowners.
How much does it cost to live in Szeged?
the rent cost is about HUF 50,000 to 120,000 without utilities based on the whole apartment or shared one and also the location. the groceries are very cheap but eating out seems expensive.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Szeged from your city?
train is the best option here to visit any city in Hungary and also some other European countries. students get 50% discount on their ticket price with the student card.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Szeged?
Szeged is safe even during night.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Szeged?
the popular chain restaurants are available here. KFC, McDonald, Burger king also exist here. I recommend Troya because of their reasonable pricing.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Szeged in the future?
the weather seems little bit unpredictable. Its better to carry an umbrella. the pink cap water bottle is for regular water.
