What is it like to live in Skopje? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The public transport is terrible, its better to buy a bike. The summers are too hot, but autumns and springs are gorgeous and colorful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Skopje?

For me is fun, but try to find the hidden and cozy places. Most known clubs are awful by my opinion.

How much does it cost to live in Skopje?

well with 300 eur you can survive, it depends on your lifestyle.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Skopje? Is there any advice you can give?

I have no idea, I'm from Skopje.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Great! The best dishes by my opinion are: Tavce gravce (Тавче гравче), Sarma, Ajvar, Selsko meso, Banicka (can be with meat, cheese, spinach or pizza), Chorba, Burger from 7ca and many more

What places would you recommend visiting in Skopje?

Vodno, Matka, Old bazaar and any traditional restaurant- Kafana.

bakery- La delicious, Kaj mache, Krofnarata od Hrom.

Is the nightlife good in Skopje? Where is good to go?

Badu bar, La kana, Rakija bar, Kapan an, MKC, Balet...

What advice would you give future students heading to Skopje?

Try the traditional food, visit our mountains, try to avoid the biggest clubs(to much people not much fun), locals are really outgoing and open minded you can easily get in touch with us.
