Shopping, location and transport.

Sheffield is a great place to visit if you like to shop. There is an area called Fargate which has some good shops and Sheffield has a big shopping centre called Meadowhall. In terms of location Sheffield is located near to the beautiful Peak District. Sheffield has a big station in the city centre from which you can access other cities. One of the ways in which you can get to Meadowhall is a tram from the city centre which can take you directly to Meadowhall. West Street is a good place to go to relax. I think there is still this fancy bar on Division Street. There is also a club near this store called John Lewis. It is above some shops and has glass pannels on the outside. You are sure to find some bar etc. to go to in Sheffield because Sheffield has two universities. If you are a vegetarian then a good place to go is the vegetarian cafe near the big cathedral in the city centre. The cafe is called 'Blue Moon Cafe'. If you are into your ice skating then there is a great place called Ice Sheffield. It has two olympic sized ice skating rinks and there is a cafe downstairs and I think a bar or cafe upstairs. If you fancy going for a swim then you could go to Ponds Forge. One of its water slides goes outside the building and then back in again. Meadowhall is a great place to eat. Pick up a map when you are there to find all the eating places. To get to Meadowhall look for the tram with the yellow light next to the destination name.

Stephanie, thank you for telling us your opinion :). I'm going to Sheffield and I have a good feeling about it! Right now I am trying to find a good (and cheap) bed and breakfast or hostel for the firsts days after my arrival. Do you know any, by chance? Thank u!

Hi Carmen! Sheffield does have plenty of hotels. Would you only stay in a bed and breakfast or hostel or would you stay in a hotel? I will look up youth hostels and bed and breakfasts in Sheffield and I will get back to you. You might be able to stay in some of Sheffield's pubs. Are you coming to Sheffield to study? If you are are you going to Sheffield Hallam University or Sheffield university?
