Why did you choose to go to Shanghai, China?

shanghai is one of the biggest cities in the world.It has the best universities in both China and the world.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Shanghai is actually more expensive than I thought.Im studying MBBS in Tongji University.Yearly tutition is 45000 RMB and living expense with apartment and stuff would have to be around 5000RMB a month

What is the student lifestyle like in Shanghai?

If you’re a spender then shanghai is definitely the place to be.Students in Shanghai spend more than students in other cities.Shanghai is full of international students who like to have fun you get to know different cultures and it’s extremely diverse.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Shanghai to other students?

Again this depends on how much you’re planning to spend.But generally you can easily concentrate on your studies because of the large influence that you’re in one of the biggest universities in China

What is the food like?

The food is amazing.i would say the average money you’d spend on a meal if you’re eating out is around 35RMB.If you’re not a big fan of Chinese food there are many “western” food

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Shanghai?

Yes,I’d recommend finding a stable and affordable accommodation before coming to shanghai,that is if the school told you that they have no dorms available.

How much does it cost to live in Shanghai?

Annually around 105,000 RMB but it depends on your apartment and your tuition

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is easy to grasp.There are language courses in the universities

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Shanghai?

Hollywood club,republic club,and last but not least the bund

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Shanghai in the future?

If you don’t have a definite accommodation make sure that you arrange something before comin here since apartments are really expensive the process is going to be really stressful.
