Sevilla the capital of Andalusia
Sevilla - The capital of Andalusia
It was one of the best experiences during my Erasmus semester to visit this beautiful and magnificent Spanish city. When you are travelling through Spain, it must be one of the stops in your trip. In this article I will provide you with some insights about the places in Sevilla, which are must-see and which convinced me of its beauty that are worth mentioning.
- Plaza de España
- Alcazar
- Sevilla Cathedral
- The Torre Del Oro (The Gold Tower)
It is such a special and unique place that I can not even describe the charm of it. The moment I saw it for the first time I was not able to find words to express my feelings, as the view was so gorgeous. Plaza de Espana is located in the Maria Luisa Park in the city center. The Plaza is a long and semi-circular building. In front of this monumental and colorful building there is a big square with a shiny fountain in the middle. The square is surrounded by a small river, where you can rent a boat and take small trip around. To get to the semi-circular building you can cross one of the four bridges that form a platform from the square to the building. Decorated, colorful ceramics add even more charm to this place.

The Royal Place is located in the heart of Sevilla, literally, in the central part of the city. It is indeed worth paying a visit to see colorful gardens full of beautiful flowers, palms, green areas and fountains. The Alcazar of Sevilla is identified with amazing rooms with ornate decorations. A variety of exhibition inside the Alcazar makes visiting this palace even more interesting. Having seen the Alcazar, you will definitely be well informed about the Spanish history.

It is located in the central part of the city. The interesting fact about this Cathedral is that this is the biggest Gothic cathedral in the world. Monumentality of the cathedral and its size makes it very quaint. The view of the whole city from the higher tower is really breathtaking. One of the attractions for visitors is the tomb of Christopher Columbus that is located inside.

It is one of the most recognizable towers in Sevilla. You can admire a nice view from the highest point. The Torre Del Oro is located at an amazing place, being directly next to the river, which adds even more beauty to its natural charming appearance. What the Gold Tower additionally offers inside is, a museum providing insights into the history of the neighborhood of the tower. The admission to the museum costs around a Euro, which is from my perspective a good deal.
