Jungles And Waterfalls
Escapism is a way to survive. At least if you are in the city where +46 is considered to be normal temperature. Even though I don’t have to be outside during daytime when the sun is the cruelest to poor people it is hell for me as a northern person. Normally locals in Seville escape to close or far beaches from the city.
However, my curiosity was about some little jungle with waterfalls which I've heard doesn't look really typical landscape of Andalucía. So we took a car with friends and made a really nice road trip to a tiny village named San Nicolas del Puerto.
Even though we could be lost, the snaky way would be worth to enjoy the provincial natural beauty from the car window. On town's outskirt, which makes up part of the Sierra Norte nature park, there is one beautiful enclave that has been declared natural monument which is known as Cascadas del Huesna and it’s on the middle channel of the river within a forest of willow, elm and ash trees.
While I was taking off my shoes and putting a hat, I was in an anticipation to plunge into the cold stream of the Spanish falls and it wasn't a disappointment. To get under beating stream of frosty water of 15 degrees justifies all expectations, especially during the exhausting heat. Somehow it reminds me my homeland; fresh ground water, slippery stones and freezing feet after a minute in the waterfall.
