I am living in Sarajevo for 4 years, now. And I will recommend it for these students without great expectations and not for picky ones. It's a typical Balkan city, with a lot of good food, generous people and long tradition.

What is the student lifestyle like in Sarajevo?

As a student, you don't have too many benefits in Sarajevo, unfortunately. But prices are very good, and Erasmus scholarships are more than enough for living in Sarajevo. If you have a good squad, if you meet with other students, you will always have a place to party.

How much does it cost to live in Sarajevo?

As I said before, Erasmus scholarship is more than enough for living costs in Sarajevo. Apartment rents are from 100 € to 500 € (depends on location and how big apartment is). For a regular meal in a regular restaurant, you can pay 2-4 €. And if you will cook for yourself it's even cheaper. Drinks and cigarettes are especially cheap.

The best website to find accommodation is Olx, it's very easy to find good accommodation there but it's doesn't have an option in English, so you have to find some Bosnian buddy to help you.
