What do you think about San Sebastián as a city to live in? Would you recommend it? What's it like?

It´s a gorgeous beach city, which is small and it´s easy to walk everywhere. It´s good a really good public transport system, although it´s quite expensive. The city itself is also a bit expensive, but there are cheaper neighbourhoods. It´s really worth living here.

What´s the student life like in San Sebastián?

During the week it´s pretty quiet, but Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are a lot busier, which means you can study but also have fun at the weekend.

How much does it cost to live in San Sebastián?

Renting a room in a flat costs about €300-500 and renting a whole apartment is typically about €900-1200.

Did you struggle to find accommodation in San Sebastián? Do you have any advice for finding somewhere?

There´s quite a lot of flats up for rent.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Absolutely delicious. The pintxos are really good, the txuleta, the cod omelette... There´s a lot of tasty things.

What places would you recommend to visit in San Sebastián

La Concha and La Zurriola beaches, the Old Town, Monte Igueldo, Miramar Palace...

And what about eating in San Sebastián? Can you tell us some of your favourite places?

Bide-Bide, Bideluze, La Tagliatella, Caravanserai and the bars in the Old Town.

What places do you recommend to go out partying in San Sebastián?

Bataplan, Rotonda, Friends, the Old Town... If not, you can always go to Bilbao or Vitoria.

Do you have any advice you would like to give to future students in San Sebastián

If you study at the UPV or the Tecnun, try and get a flat in Calle Matia or El Antiguo, or in Amara if you study nursing at UPV.
