Laida´s Experience in San Sebastián, Spain
What do you think about San Sebastián as a city to live in? Would you recommend it? What's it like?
It's a really lively, beautiful city with a lot of interesting places to see.
How much does living in San Sebastián cost?
Although San Sebastián is a beautiful city, the cost of living is somewhat more expensive compared to other cities. However, everything is of excellent quality.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
In San Sebastián, if you just want a small bite to eat at any time of the day, there are always "los pintxos", which are a type of "finger food" usually served with bread. In my opinion, the "bolas de carne" (a small deep fried ball of meat) are the best. On Thursdays, in certain areas of the city, such as Gros, there is what´s known as "pintxopote", where you can get a "pintxo" and a drink for just €2!
What places would you recommend to visit in San Sebastián?
Above all, the island (Santa Clara), the Aquarium, Monte Igueldo (where you have great views of the whole of Donostia), Paseo Nuevo, Monte Urgull and the Old Town.
What places do you recommend to go out partying in San Sebastián?
Bataplan!
