Why did you choose to go to San Sebastian, Spain?
To learn spanish, lots of surf spots and warmer weather than in Slovenia.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I received it for 5 months in advance. 450 euros /month.
What is the student lifestyle like in San Sebastian?
Easy and friendly study, based on teamwork. Lot of opportunities to do sports. Party every day in the week if you want.
It is a small city, so everyone are friends.
Would you recommend the city and the University of San Sebastian to other students?
Of course! 1st choice.
What is the food like?
It has some strange specialties, but overall it is very good. Pintxo-pote thursdays are amazing.
Prices in stores are normal.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in San Sebastian?
I find it when I came here without a problem.
How much does it cost to live in San Sebastian?
Living costs are a bit higher compare to Slovenia. For very nice flat I paid 450/month including costs.
Then it depends how much you spend for drinks and other activities, but you can get thru month with 600 euros easily.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Spanish is very easy to learn. On Deusto campus, we have free courses.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to San Sebastian from your city?
Plane from
Venice-Bilbao, and from Bilbao-San Sebastián
with train or bus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in San Sebastian?
On thursdays Pintxo-Pote in Gros
Other days for appetizer some drinks in
Parta Vieja and later Molly Malone And Bataplan.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in San Sebastian?
I am Sorry. I am always cooking at home.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Kursaal
the cinemas on Sunday pray in Church :)
Aquarium, Museum on the top of Monte Urgull...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to San Sebastian in the future?
Be open minded and you easy going to gain as much friends as you can;)
