Why did you choose to go to San Sebastian, Spain?

I really like Spain as a country (weather, culture, and life style), and want to learn and become proficient in Spanish

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

From the end of November 2014 until the end of June 2014, I receive 530 eur per month to help with living costs

What is the student lifestyle like in San Sebastian?

Very good, its a small town, and the public transport system is excellent, so its very easy to catch up with people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of San Sebastian to other students?

Yes, The town is great, the food is quite cheap, and there is always something to do.

What is the food like?

The food is excellent, the tapas are very good quality especially in old town, and can them for us cheap as 1.3euro each.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in San Sebastian?

No, it was very easy to find accommodation, I found quite a lot of places online using a couple of different websites, and sent a few messages off then had no shortage of replies.

How much does it cost to live in San Sebastian?

I live in Gross which is one of the better areas, and it costs 400euro per month including all wifi and all other facilities, using a mugi card for transport it cost roughly 0.8euro each way.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is difficult as people tend to change between Basque and Spanish through out conversation. I have not yet begun a language course but I will be starting in the new year.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to San Sebastian from your city?

Bus by far.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in San Sebastian?

Old town, great tapas.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in San Sebastian?

Yes, anywhere in Old town is great, I cant remember the name, but know them by location.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The beach and the walk up the top of the mountain where their is a castle over looking San Sebastian,

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to San Sebastian in the future?

Prepare for fun and great food, maybe know a little more Spanish then me
