Why did you choose to go to Saarbrücken, Germany?

I chose Saarbrücken because I wanted to learn german language. It is a city in Germany which is rich in interesting architecture and beautiful nature, it is also near to France and Luxembourg.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I spent in Erasmus for 10 months. I got an Erasmus scholarship - about 400 Euro per month

What is the student lifestyle like in Saarbrücken?

It is normal, you are just one of many international students. There are some events for them, where you can make new friends, but you should remember to sign on it.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Saarbrücken to other students?

Yes, I strongly recommend the city.

What is the food like?

There are many restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. You have to taste Currywurst or Döner.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Saarbrücken?

I lived in a dormitory, it cost about 220-300 Euro per month.

How much does it cost to live in Saarbrücken?

It depends on you:) Apart from the costs of the dormitory, it is about 200-350 Euro

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I study german studies, so it was a great opportunity to practice more german. Yes, language courses are available at the University. I recommend to attend.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Saarbrücken from your city?

The best way is to take a bus or plane from Cracow to Stuttgart.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Saarbrücken?

There are some good clubs in Saarbrücken, e.g. Havana, but the best parties are organized by ZIS.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Saarbrücken?

I did not have any favourite resaturants in Saarbrücken, but if you want to eat cheap, you should choose 'Mensa' at the university.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In Saarbrücken you can visit the beautiful forest and Wildpark. You can go to Deutsch-Französischer Garten. This city is a great place
as a starting point for longer trips-to Saarschleife, Luxembourg, Paris and Brussels, I recommend taking a part in ZiS Tour.
