Why did you choose to go to Riga, Latvia?
I chose Riga because I am fascinate about the north Europe cultures.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My internship was during two months and I receved 400 euro (more or less) for month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Riga?
It's great. The center is small but is full of cozy pub, resturant and disco where enjoy the weekend. An other positive point is about the markets that are open until 22pm or 24h.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Riga to other students?
Yes, I would racommend Riga. It, s really a great experience.
What is the food like?
Riga hasn't a tipical food. Moreover here the principal food is the cooked meat and fish, specially the salmon.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Riga?
My accomondation costed 318 euro for mounth.
How much does it cost to live in Riga?
It isn't too much expensive.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
I never went to the university because I'm doing an intenship there, so I can't know if there are some courses for learn latvian. But the young people speak a good english.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Riga from your city?
The faster and the cheaper way for travel all the Latvian it's the bus. For Riga in specially way I would advice the trolleybus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Riga?
Riga is really safe. I never was afraid to walk in Riga even maybe if it was night.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Riga?
I want advice the market. Riga hasn't a tipical food, but in the market next the bus station you could find and try Russian food.
