Why did you choose to go to Rethymno, Greece?

i was studying greek philology

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

i stayed 13 months, got the scholarships only for 5 months. the money wasnt enough even for the 5 months

What is the student lifestyle like in Rethymno?

there is many student and they like to strike, there is only one bus to the campus and when the exams begins it's impossible to get in, they don't integrate with erasmus too much, only few people

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rethymno to other students?

if You want just to party, not too much, but to learn something and spend time i calm place yes

What is the food like?

great!!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rethymno?

i was very lucky i found my roommate on couchsurfing

How much does it cost to live in Rethymno?

the house about 250-300 euro plus food 300-400

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

there are courses for everybody

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rethymno from your city?

ryanair to chania and from there bus, but you will have to wait until next day cause last bus to rethymno leaves about 9pm

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rethymno?

metropolis is for tourists the only club with non-greek-all the time music, Chaplin's, fortezza

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rethymno?

in the old town there is one very small place under the Olga's pension- great homemade food 6 euro per plate

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

creete is full of ancient stuff

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rethymno in the future?

it rains a lot and its windy on the campus, you gonna get cold in the winter!
