Prague: A City of Museums

Welcome once again to my blog!

This time my travel experience will take you to the most beautiful city in Europe - maybe of the whole world! - and about my experience in this beautiful city.

Prague is wonderful in every house, every step, every square... Don't forget to visit anything in Prague; you can't leave anything undiscovered... You will always want to return to Prague.

I've only visited it once, but I had the feeling that I had to go back. Few cities are as beautiful as Prague, and that's because I fell in love with Prague as soon as I visited it.

The City of 100 Towers , as Prague is also known, is a city that should appear in your list of cities visited during your lifetime.

During my trip I compiled in a list some of the things that I did that seem so essential that I want to share them with all of you.

1. Walk through all the alleys around the Old City Square and explore the Old Town. Furthermore, sit down and contemplate the cozy old square.

You will be able to explore and enjoy monuments in it like the Church of Our Lady of Tyn, the Church of St. Nicholas, and of course, the Old City Council.

You can't go to Prague without seeing this square! Spectacular!

2. Visit the St. Vito Cathedral - it's impressive! It will leave you open-mouthed. Moreover, I recommend you to climb the steps of the Bell Towerto enjoy spectacular views of Prague.

3. Don't forget to discover the Jewish District of Josefovwhere you will discover so much about its history. You will be able to discover different synagogues (High, Spanish, Maisel), as well as enjoying the Santa Inés Monastery. Above all you will be able to get to know the Jewish Cemetery, the place that will leave an impression on you.

Well, although it seems like a lie, it happens like in Milan, the visit to the Cemetery is something you can't let go of during your visit.

The visit is impressive, and helps you to know a lot of history about the city and the time.

Don't miss it!

4. Don't miss the biggest castle you will see during all your travels, the Prague Castle.

It is not a castle like you would expect, since when we listen about a castle or when we go to visit a castle, we imagine a huge building.

However, Prague Castle is not the typical European castle that we are accustomed to seeing, but is an architectural ensemble full of spectacular buildings and sites that you can not miss.

Some of us have already talked before as is the Cathedral of St. Vito, but also, you can explore: the Gold Alleyway, a corner within the castle which is coziest place you can imagine with colorful houses where goldsmiths live; also within the castle you will discover the Old Royal Palace and the Basilica and Convent of St. George, a must-see! You will also get to know the city's famous prison, which first housed members of the nobility, the Daliborka Tower; and, the Black Tower, which is known as such because, in its day, it suffered a fire and the White Tower was left black. It was also used as a prison for members of the nobility, and the well-known Powder Tower.

Another interesting thing to visit in the Prague Castle is the changing of the guard at 12 o'clock.

5. Walk along the well-known Charles Bridge that joins the Old Town with Small Town. In addition to this, when we were crossing it, we observed statues that are part of it in detail.

Make a wish on the Bridge at the height of the Statue of St. John Nepomucene, touching the base of the statue.

In addition to this, as we crossed the bridge, we came across numerous stalls and street artists who make the walk on the bridge special.

Enjoy a walk across the bridge at sunset or sunrise,

6. Visit the Wenceslao Squarw which, although it is now only surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants, is a square with a lot of history in the city.

You can also find the National Musuem of Prague.

And, I recommend that you get to know it only during the day, because it is not a square like the ones we are used to seeing, it is a big avenue, which is also not pedestrianised.

I recommend this square because it is part of the history of Prague, I only recommend it if you have a lot of time in this city.

7. The Black Theatre

You've probably never heard of it before, and if you have heard of it thn you've never enjoyed such a curious activity as enjoying a black theatre play.

Until I saw it, I couldn't imagine what I'd find. Once I was in front of a black play, I freaked out because both the stage and all the actor's clothes were BLACK. And yes, there were things I didn't see, I didn't understand the truth.

However, the actors make you see what they want you to see through fluorescent lights and lighting in order to capture the attention of the spectator, where they want us, which of them we see, we know what is important.

You can't miss it, it's essential!

8. Enjoy a cruise along the longest river in the Czech Republic, the Moldava River.

Enjoy a romantic dinner at the same time.

A wonder!

9- Enjoy the most beautiful Astronomical clock in the world, located in the City Hall Tower.

If you look at the clock face, you can see that inside there are the months of the year, and the signs of the zodiac, and in the center, the Shield of Arms of the Old City.

Also, and the most beautiful thing about the clock is the parade of the twelve apostles that takes place each time the clock chimes on the hours.

What you can enjoy most about the clock is the climb up to the tower... The views of the Old Town Square are spectacular.

Don't miss it!

10- Visit Nove Mesto, or also known as New Town. It was a place that was recommended to us not to miss during our visit.

From this are, look at the Dancing House located on the banks of the Moldava River.

Prague: A City of Museums

It's impressive when you see it in photos and videos but when you are directly in front of it, you will freak out!

Don't miss it!

So far, what has been essential to me in my visit to this city is that as soon as you step on it, it reminds you of a museum.

It's beautiful however you look at it, every step you take in it and every corner you turn will make it seem even more impressive.

It's worth getting to know all of it. Don't let anything escape.

See you next time, travellers!
