Pizza festival
We were talking about Pizza Festival with Romca since the end of May because we wanted to have some reward for our state exams. Therefore, every time when we were complaining about studying we just said: "But when we are done with our exams we will enjoy sunny day in Prague with good food and drinks and everything will be awesome". Eventually, the time went fast and the day was here.
After the lunch I was supposed to have a Thai massage for the first time. I got this present from my friend from work and I was looking forward to try it. Normally, I do not go to the massage salon so often. I don´t even remember when was my last time when I went for a massage. I knew that it was a massage of whole body so I was little bit worried before coming there. When I came the woman just told me to take all of my clothes off except for the panties. I did it and I was waiting until she came. It started quite weird because in the beginning she did not even use the oil and she started to do a massage through the towels. Fortunately, after few minutes it became a normal massage with oil – but only for a while. I enjoyed it a lot until it started to hurt. Sometimes she was almost lying on me and it was just too much as she was quite heavy. Nevertheless, she continued. I kind of liked it but I could not enjoy it entirely because it hurt. I have no idea if it is always like this because I never went there. I had only a few massages during my wellness stay. Maybe, good massage does not have to be likeable all the time.
The salon was called Failin. The good thing was that it is next to the metro station Náměstí Míru. Therefore, it was easy to find it. After a normal massage of my back, the woman started to do a massage of my neck and face. I did not like it much. She did not even ask me and she started to sting on my neck and when I said it was too much she just answered: “No, it does not hurt”. Later, she was almost also standing on me, she was doing massage of my legs and she was pulling my hands until they made a creaky sound. It was just a totally different experience. I have to say I prefer having normal aromatic pleasant massages with oil or lava stones over this craziness. However, I have to admit that the day after my back did not hurt at all and I felt really good, which is a good thing.
After the massage I met Aja, Romca and Peta and we were all excited about Pizza Festival. The weather was awful. I went shopping and I bought a really nice dress for this occasion and I wanted to take it but it was not a good idea because I felt cold with my jacket. In addition, it was raining a little bit. At least it discouraged another people to go there and we did not have to wait in the line. When we went there I was shocked. If you say Pizza Festival, I would expect a bunch of food stands with many different types of pizza that I have never seen. It was not like this. We did a small round in a few minutes. For instance, I saw a small shop with just two different pizzas. Crazy. They have no right to call themselves Pizza Festival haha.
Finally we found a good place to have pizza. Actually, the guy who was preparing the pizza was famous. He was even noted in the Guinness book record for the biggest consistent dough. We chose pizza there – the first one with mushrooms and the second one with Italian cheese. I loved the second one a lot. Having cheesy pizza with cream base is always good idea. It was not the best pizza I have ever had though.
We did not spend much time there and we headed to Ananas Bananas for a cocktail. We like this place because they have a special offer until 8 pm – all cocktails for less than 2 euros, which is amazing. I had Pina colada and I felt happy. The place is awesome because of these prices, but, additionally, it is in the city center. It takes you just 10 minutes to get there from Wenceslas square. Everything was so fast that we had to leave immediately to prepare ourselves for our Boat Party – the last party of this semester and probably last party of Charles University for me. I felt like we did not have time to talk about our last semester when I was abroad at all. I had thousands of things to say but I would need a whole day or week I guess.
Every year we have a Boat Party in the end of our semester. I had such a great time yesterday on the boat! Not only that I met many people I hadn´t seen for more than 6 months, but I met a new guy, Nicolas. In fact, I already knew him, I just did not see him personally because we were just messaging on Facebook. It already happened to me many times. It is funny if you are in contact with someone only on Facebook and after few days/months/ages you meet the person face to face. He was the one who recommended me Lille as Pavel did. He went there two years ago. It was so cool to speak to him after my exchange. We were remembering all our moments and I could not believe when he told me he won the category Party animal because I remember that the guy who won this category on my exchange was literally drinking every night! We found out we had similar conclusions about Erasmus - we both loved it.
If I should evaluate the party, I enjoyed it at maximum. I did not mind that there was old music as we were dancing and singing a lot. In addition, I was surprised that many friends from my university came and I have not seen them for a long time. Therefore, there was always something to talk about. I was interested in their new jobs, girl or boyfriends and plans for the future. I think that every party depends mainly on people. Therefore, everything seemed good to me. However, I noticed that some people complained about the organization on the group. I have to say that even waiting line for the toilets was exceptionally small.
I enjoyed being on the boat and seeing Romca (as I will live with her in Amsterdam) after a long time. We were speaking about everything and watching a nice view from the boat with Peta. The girls were funny and skillfull as they managed to smuggle rum in the small bottle in their scarfs. We took a lot of pictures as well. I stayed on the boat almost as a last person because I did not want to come to the bar where we had after party as a first one. It was not reasonable because we ended up looking for the phone with Tynka because she did not have it. What a nice feeling when we found out someone had taken it before. We spent a lot of time trying to find the right way (it looked like we never went to Popocafepetl - but we went many times! ). I remember we chose at least three times the wrong way haha. And then, we got to Popocafepetl. I was surprised that there were many people. I managed to drink a tequila shot even thought I am not normally able to drink it all. We danced again. I felt happy until I found out I did not have my jacket.
In Lille, there were no cloakrooms in the bars. In addition, the bars were super small so we always made a big heap of our jackets. Therefore, I was scared the whole semester that someone could take my jacket. Not because I would miss it but because I would be freezing on my way home! In fact, it never happened there. However, on my almost first party in Prague someone took my jacket. I am almost sure that someone took it by accident because I found almost the same one on the same bench. I hate it. I was in love with this jacket and the jacket left in the bar was not even my size. Stupid drunk people who can not even recognize their stuff…
It seems that this week is in sign of pizza because when I came home we decided to make our own pizza with my mum. It is always a good idea because I could put everything on my pizza. I again took a picture with ingredients and finished pizza. We had two kinds of them - the first one with cream base and all types of cheeses and the second one with tomatoes, ham and cheese. Juliette had it plain as always. This week was really demanding and I can not wait to sleep tonight. Tomorrow my friend from high school is coming for the first time to my house!
It is just funny. Before we moved to Hradec Králové I remember saying: "It will be perfect. After every day class we can just go to my place when I live here and we can do everything together! ". It took us some time to move and finally she did not have opportunity to come! Therefore, I am looking forward to see her and celebrate being bachelor students!
