Breakfast in the city centre

Hello after a long time. Today I would like to tell you about my breakfast with my friend Saša and about my last few days. Since I am leaving soon I don’t have much time to see everybody before my departure. Moreover, I decided to work a lot. Although I was sure I needed to see Saša before I go. It was difficult to find a date which would suit both of us. In the end we agreed on meeting on Sunday morning and having breakfast. I remember exactly that Saša was talking about having breakfast in the city centre in Prague long time. She said she always wanted to get up early and go to some nice restaurant or bar and have something to eat and drink a good coffee. On Sunday we had perfect opportunity to do it because I was working from 11 am until midnight. I was so looking forward to see her. However, when I finished working Saturday evening and when I went home, I felt so tired that I totally forgot about the meeting. I was thinking: So tomorrow I will finally sleep for a time in the morning because I don’t have to get up. Then, I realized I was supposed to meet Saša! I hate that I often promise to do something and I cancel it. Therefore, I decided to keep promises and if I say I would do something I won´t change it and I will do it. Therefore, I just put my alarm on and I seriously got up and we met!

We saw each other in the middle of my staying in France because I came to the Czech Republic for a week. Last meeting was quite fast and we did not have much time. This time it was different and we had the whole morning for us. When we wanted to find a bar for our breakfast, we just searched on Google: the best breakfast in Prague. We just randomly chose the place where they were open since early morning located in the city centre. We chose the place called O´Papa. It was a really nice place. I passed it already many times but I never went inside. It is a self-service restaurant but the atmosphere is really nice. Saša decided to have a pancake with fresh fruit and a smoothie. I had a cappuccino and an omelette with cheddar cheese. It was delicious. I enjoyed the food a lot except for the fact that it was super expensive. It cost probably the same as if we had dinner. It is okay because I don´t have breakfast in the city centre often and this was just a special occasion.

Saša looked totally different. A lot of things changed since last time. She has a new job, a new boyfriend and she seemed really happy. She was wearing a really nice dress. The funny thing is that we met together in café McCafé. It was my first working experience in Prague. I was at high school and Saša was the most friendly person in that café. At that time I had no idea we could stay close friends for ages! Every time when we are together it is great no matter how many months we did not see each other before. I also found out that Saša went to the festival Sziget last year. I was so interested in all stories. She told me that it was amazingly great. She told me that it is not only a festival – there are bunch of things to do – music, people, performances, delicious food, river, etc. I already saw myself in Budapest when she was talking about that! I can not wait to go there. We just need to book the tickets.

After the breakfast Saša went with me to Las Adelitas. I was in a great mood in the morning after the breakfast. Sometimes it is weird because when you open the restaurant, you never know what time you will finish. It depends only on the number of guests. Therefore, during the afternoon it looked that I would go home soon but in the end I stayed there until the closing time. I wanted to go home by metro but when Sorya said she wanted to party and go out we had to go.

It did not take long time and we all went to the bar called Vzorkovna. I heard about it many times. Although, I was not sure if I went there or no. It is close to Narodni Trida. When you enter the bar you have to buy a special bracelet and charge it with money. The minimum amount is 50 CZK but it is not the entrance fee, it is just minimum amount you have to spend there, which is all right. The funniest thing is that there is a big dog in the bar. Always. If I say big I mean literally huge. I never saw such a huge dog in my life! In the beginning I did not like that but I got used to him and I started to like him. I totally loved the atmosphere of the bar. It was all quite dark with candles and it looked like labyrinth. There were many many corners and side streets and places to sit. In addition, they have a piano there. I tried to play something but I was ashamed because I was not able to play the song I was trying to learn last two days, unfortunately. I totally loved the bar!

Another thing happening lately was related to my mum. It is unbelievable but she finally found some prospective job and she is in the middle of admission process. I was with my sister when she went for an interview. It was a graphic job. Although when she came there they wanted her to do some English tests. The problem is that she does not speak English normally. Even worse it was when they gave her some mathematic tests. Nevertheless, tomorrow she is having another interview and I am keeping my fingers crossed for her!

I can not believe it but tommorrow we are already going to the festival! The plan is to take Eurolines from Prague to Budapest. We booked Airbnb and on Friday we are moving to the festival. I already read a lot of information about it and I am so excited about that! I am just worried about the weather because I expected the weather to be better but let´s see!
