What is the student lifestyle like in Poznan?

Poznan is full of students, you can find them anywhere, for real. You will meet many different people from all around the world. You can party any day of the week if you wish, there is always something to do.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Poznan to other students?

Without any doubt.

What is the food like?

Polish homemade food is excelent, different of what I am used to eating so it is a nice experience to give it a try.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Poznan?

Not at all, I had help from Polish people and it was very quick. In a week I found a suitable flat.

How much does it cost to live in Poznan?

It is very cheap for those who live with Euros. The change rate is very good for us and it is really really cheap to do anything. Plus, there are students discounts for almost everything and you have a %51 discount in many things (such as restaurants, transportation, hostels...).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The basic things of the language are not difficult to get, and although you might not be able to make a super speech you will be able to understand it after having some classes. I have a Polish course of 5 hours a week at University and I learnt the basic communication stuff in 2 months.
Warning: the pronunciation will drive you crazy!!!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Poznan from your city?

By plain.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Poznan?

Any pub in the city center, try the breweries where beer is handmade and so on! Don't leave without trying Polish beer and Vodka ;)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Poznan?

It depends on what you are looking for but everything is very cheap.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The War Museums, the cathedral island, the city hall (from the inside), the folklore museum...
