Erasmus Experience in Poznan, Poland by serdar

Why did you choose to go to Poznan, Poland?

Because it seemed to me that it must be the greatest place where i can have nice moments about my whole Erasmus programme and meet friendly people out there.Fortuanetly i was right of this view and i had the best moments there in my life.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months.Well, i got 345 euro per month from the Erasmus Fund and plus, i recieved 650 euro more , but for once, from my family.

What is the student lifestyle like in Poznan?

There is a big opportunity that you can live your student life with party life together.The city provides you very well, in terms of money and places that you can go.

What is the food like?

I am Turkish so as you can guess our traditional cousine is very tasty and everybody likes it.So Polish food is little bit less interesting and tasty for me.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Poznan?

Nope.The university provided me an double-room which i shared with my classmate from Turkey.

How much does it cost to live in Poznan?

You can survive with a budget , includes also travel expenses , - 400 euro per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Polish is the hardest language in the world, and i can say that easily.University had a polish course for us.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Poznan from your city?

There are many, but i think it's the best way to get there , going to Berlin from Istanbul then passing from there to Poznan by bus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Poznan?

Czekolada and SQ Club but also Cuba Libre is worth to give a shot at the beginning of the night.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Poznan?

Sphinx.It's an amazing place.Go there and order a American Steak you will never regret.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Poznan in the future?

Just live it as there is no tomorrow :)
