Why did you choose to go to Poznan, Poland?

I went to Poland because of my placement company was located in Poland, for an internship (in Buk to be exact).

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I still am in Poland by the time writing this interview. My stay is five months, I received €2. 000 from Erasmus to cover my costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Poznan?

Really relaxing from what I picked up from my roomates, but since I was on Placement I had quite a busy period here in Poland.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Poznan to other students?

I would recommend the city Poznan because it is a student city, just like Groningen (for the people who visited Groningen).

What is the food like?

The food selection is very broad, from foodtrucks that serve hamburgers to the best mediterranean restaurant in the City Park Residence. All around the food is great in Poznan.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Poznan?

Not really, for me it was quite easy because I got contacted by two other students. But I assume it can be hard.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Can't comment, since I was in placement at a company.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel in Poznan?

By tram, it is cheap quite fast. But you can travel by bike which the Polish don't recommend unless you are wearing high visability clothing. Cars drivers are driving fastly.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Poznan?

Pijalnia, SQ Club, Cuba Libre and Czekolada.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Poznan?

For good and cheap food I highly recommend the food trucks. For medium prices you should definitely visit the Pizzeria Tutti Santi. And you should definitely visit the restaurants Lars, Lars & Lars and La Cucina 88. These last two restaurants are both located in the City Park Residence, these are a bit expensive but really good!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Shopping Centres Stary Browar, Posnania and Galeria Malta are a must see for shopaholics since the amount of stores.

But also try to sightsee for yourself, try to discover it on your own.
