What is it like to live in Poznan? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Poznań is a student city, we have one of the best universities here and that is why many students come here. And due to that, you can find lots of events and parties for students. In many pubs and restaurant, you have a student discount. When it is spring or summer or it is just very nice outside you can go to the river, to Malta lake or to Cytadela park. Next to the river, you have now two popular pubs -"Kontenery" and... I don't know the name of the pub at the opposite side of the river, but it is also very nice. You can play volleyball there, you can dance or have a bbq. However, the thing that attracts many people to that place is the fact that this is the only public place in Poznań when you can drink legally. So when it is hot, you can just grab some beer and go to the river. At Malta lake you can do many sports, ie. running, rollerskating or riding a bike. You can also go to the beach there. I think that there are lots of things to do in Poznań and I'd definitely recommend it.
What is the student lifestyle like in Poznan?
I think that they are partying and traveling a lot. A student's discount for trains is very high (51%) so you can go to many places for a really cheap price. You can see other cities in Poland, like Kraków, Warszawa (Warsaw), Wrocław or Gdańsk.
What places would you recommend visiting in Poznan?
Cytadela park, Malta lake, old town, city hall, Stary Browar, Ostrów Tumski (an island), "Pijalnia wódki i piwa" - it's a pub, usually very crowded, but they serve yummy drinks and on Mondays there is a 50% student discount for everything (there are better pubs in Poznań, but most of the students starts their party in that one).
Also some nice cafeterias like:
