What did I love the most in Portugal?

  • When do you have an opportunity to live for long period in a country which is not your national country?
  • When do you have a possibility to use more often the language which you have learned for long time in the school?
  • When can you travel and get know totally different culture then your national culture?

The answer is very easy: when you are on Erasmus program. When I came to Spain as an Erasmus student I wanted to visit as much as it is possible. One of my goals was to visit Portugal - the small European country on Iberian Peninsula.

Untypical street art in Porto

I want to write down about these stuff and places which inspired me the most thorugh my trip in Portugal. But before I would like to invite you to watch the movie which I made through the trip to Portugal : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCXdM9XP1Ig

Porto

One of the most beautiful cities which I have ever visited. I would recommend everyone to visit this colorful Portuguese city. A specially I suggest to enjoy the beautiful view from the most famous bridge Ponte Dom Luis I which connected old part of the city with the modern one. The second wonderful thing in Porto was the church decoration. It looks very amazing – the azulejo fasads. If you are looking for interesting architecture, beautiful views into the sea and increadable Portugeses climate – Porto is the city for you.

Pastéis de nata

Portuguese egg cookies. These are the most traditional, small cookies which are served in all Portuguese bakeries. Personally I fell in love with these sweeties. I highly recommend you to try them if you have this opportunity. For me this is the cutties symbol of Portugal.

Yellow trains in Lisbon

The typical transport in the capital of Portugal. The capital of Portugal is very mountain city, to achieve some point it is necessary to take public transportation, especially that old town is very huge. It is very funny as just one possibility to travel is to take this yellow, small, old train. Trust me - it is really fun! It is even more interesting, when you see how this old mechanism works, because most of the trains are very old and everything.

Miradouros in Lisbon

The points where you can enjoy the best views of the city. Being in Lisbon you cannot miss these beautiful views. Generally they are marked on the touristic maps that way you can find them very easy. The most wonderful views you can admire during the sunset. In most of these places are benches.
