Tomar, kayak and Acueduct of Pegões
If you want to have a fun and full sport day in Tomar you just have to live this two great experiences.
Kayaking in Nabão river!
Thanks to our great ESN team we could have a great time doing kayaking in the Nabão river, it was really nice and the nature there, the calm water, the litle waterfall and the views... It was really a great experiece that I wished to be endless.
Isn't it just gorgeous??
Don't ask me about the phone... I was ok :)
Also you should visit this poor guy... It is sooo lonely there...
A walk to the Acueduct of Pegões
After our kayak experience we decided to go to the acueduct of Tomar, it is not really in Tomar, so we went soon to see it with sun light and also to be able to see the down from the top. It is kind of one hour by walk to get there from the centre of Tomar, maybe less, it depends on the person. You just have to go up, up, up, up, up.... and follow the indications.
We arrived there at seven, more or less, yo we were just in time to enjoy the views. You can go up to the top and walk all the right side of the acueduct, but only a litle part of the left side because of the nature. Also, the left side continues and goes to Tomar, it finishes in the Crist Convent, is really nice to see that also.
We decided to walk the right side untill the end of it, that unfurtunately it was closen... but it is also the end. You have to be very carefull and if you are afraid of highs... don't go!!! at the beginning of the walking you have a short protection, but just at the beginning, after that is oppened on the right side, and you have a 30 metres fall!!
One thing you should do... walk all along it, and cross it! Also, if you can be there and watch the sun set, you will not regreted.
Left side of the Aqueduct, this one goes to the Crist Convent.
Really nice sunset!!
You cal walk all of this! really nice.
The views from the middle
Just breathtaking!
