What is it like to live in Porto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Porto is a great city, quiet bit different from Lisbon. Have a cultural life very intense, and many alternative places to eat, to drink, to dance or to find some used or new articles...I recommend it.
What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?
Is a good lifestyle. It´s not a huge city, but isn´t small either, so you can meet many places, and the transports are very complemented.
How much does it cost to live in Porto?
Comparing to the rest of europe is chepeast.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Porto? Is there any advice you can give?
It´s not very hard to find a place. You have many options like live on a student flat, with others students, like portugueses, or easly live in a hostel, because many of them have packages to erasmus students.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is very good. The Portuguese food is very mediterranian. In Porto you need to eat "Francesinha", is a typical dishe..is amazing.
What places would you recommend visiting in Porto?
The zone around the "Aliados" boulevard is very interesting, and have a huge moviment, like in "Galerias de Paris" street.
Is it good to eat out in Porto? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, is very good. The restaurants are very clean, and have so many typical and tastfull dishes.
Is the nightlife good in Porto? Where is good to go?
The nightlife is very good and very alternative, too. The "Galerias de Paris" street have many bars, very interesting and differents.
What advice would you give future students headed to Porto?
The city is safe, but as allways you need to be a little carefull. The people are amazing and very wellcomming. You will enjoy it.
