What is it like to live in Porto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Yes I would, the weather is annoying sometimes, because instead of sun there're clouds or even rain. The local people are pretty nice, the city itself is very beautiful, the traditional portuguese cuisine is not suitable for everyone(I'm not talking about the seafood:)

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

Depends what you want to do: you can chill at the beach, city center or just walk around trying to know the city better. If you prefer partying don't think ir hesitate just go to Porto:D

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

Apartament(150-230 a month depends on the place where it's at and of course the state it's in); Public transport(~35-36 euros a month for 4 zones for students, for that you can use the bus or metro); Food(depends what and how much you eat, but I'd say maximum 150 eur a month).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Porto? Is there any advice you can give?

No it's not, if you can't find a decent apartament before going there, just stay in a hostel for a few days until you find something you like.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

At my erasmus in Porto probably the most favourite one was Macdonald's :D The best local dishes of course are made from seafood.

What places would you recommend visiting in Porto?

Eveything:D

Is it good to eat out in Porto? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, if you want to try the local food probably the best spot is piolho, it's near the main building of university of Porto.

Is the nightlife good in Porto? Where is good to go?

Definetely, a lot of clubs/bars/pubs. Try boulevard,pitch, hardclub and a many more:D

What advice would you give future students heading to Porto?

Take enough money, find a normal spot to live( maximum 15 minutes by foot from the city centre), travel around Portugal as much as you can, because there's a lot to see, and party like it's your birthday ;)
