What is it like to live in Porto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Yes I would recommend it. It's a very old city, super quirky and it feels like you're never done exploring. That are a lot of events and street art to see too.

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

A lot of work and a lot of beer. There are traditions where you need to wear a specific attire and get together for challenges street singing and parties.

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

Probably around 400eur month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Porto? Is there any advice you can give?

No, I think it's not very hard. Look for places online. Be aware that the bills are usually not included in the price and they can be expensive. So it's a matter of asking the owner how much they are usually.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is incredible. All fresh and with a lot of flavour. Sardines and Francesinha are a classic.

What places would you recommend visiting in Porto?

Serralves, palácio de cristal, palácio da pena, livraria lelo, praia de Leça da palmeira

Is it good to eat out in Porto? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, pretty much any place will serve good food. Try to go closer to the beach for seafood.

Is the nightlife good in Porto? Where is good to go?

Galerias de Paris is a zone full of vars where you can walk in and out without paying entrance and there's a lot of people on the street. If you like clubbing there also big clubs like eskada. If you are more into the gay scene try ZOOM bar.

What advice would you give future students heading to Porto?

Enjoy the sun as much as you can!
