Experience in Porto, Portugal, by Francisco
What is it like to live in Porto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
To live in Porto is to experience every day an ancient culture. Unlike the capital (Lisbon), Porto wasn't restructured due to any earthquake, and therefore preserves most of the characteristics you could find 500 years ago.
Porto is a big city that stretches out to the sea. You have it all in Porto: Night Life, really good beaches, highly interconnected buses, trams and metro, and if all this doesn't make you feel at home, their kitchen is also outstanding.
How much does it cost to live in Porto?
600€ per month is enough. You can do it for way less, but you have to have a student life.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Porto? Is there any advice you can give?
No, there are numerous offers.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The best combination between price and quality, I might say.
