What is it like to live in Porto? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Porto is awesome!.. I would definitely recommend it! The city has two main atractions: it stands next to the sea and Douro river, and it has a lively and beautiful downtown area, with its historical features, full of bars and restaurants, with lots of entertainment by night and it's very pleasant to stroll around by day. There's also the wine cellars, the trips by boat to Douro's wine region landscape (a must), the fish restaurants in Matosinhos and the beach area in the summer...

What is the student lifestyle like in Porto?

Lots of students from everywhere, the erasmus program is very popular around here...

How much does it cost to live in Porto?

It depends on the area and what you're looking for, but a comfortable and reasonable spot can go from 200 to a very nice one for 300 euros (expenses inc.), more or less...

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Porto? Is there any advice you can give?

It's very easy. Yes, browse for rental sites on the net or look for my name (Diogo Barroso), I always have a couple of rooms for rent..

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It's excelent! Seafood by Matosinhos..

What advice would you give future students heading to Porto?

Don't be afraid, you might be very happy!
